Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location(s): Weston-Super-Mare to Gloucestershire

We're looking for a skilled and qualified Tree Surgeon Team Leader to lead a team of two in maintaining and caring for trees, hedgerows, and green spaces across Weston-Super-Mare and Gloucestershire. Your expertise will shape greener, safer, and more welcoming environments, making a visible difference to the lives of our customers and helping them feel proud of where they live.

What you ll be doing as a Tree Surgeon Team Leader

• Caring for trees and hedgerows - Planting, pruning, thinning, and felling trees safely and professionally.
• Making homes feel like home - Enhancing outdoor spaces that residents love.
• Problem-solving in nature - Tackling challenges like storm-damaged or hazardous trees.
• Using and maintaining specialist equipment - Chainsaws, chippers, shredders, and climbing gear.
• Collaborating and leading - Supporting a team of 2 and working together safely.
• Keeping things safe - Conducting site risk assessments and following regulations.

What we re looking for:

• NPTC/Lantra qualifications:
  • CS30 (201/202) - Chainsaw maintenance and cross-cutting
  • CS31 (203) and CS32 (301) - Felling trees
  • CS40 (307) - Pruning
  • NPTC - Chipper Operations

• Confidence in tree care, pruning, and climbing.
• Ability to use, clean, and maintain a range of hand and power tools.
• Extensive knowledge of trees, shrubs, and pruning techniques.
• Comfortable working at height - Confident and competent climbing ability.
• Full UK driving licence.
• A strong communicator and team player - Able to work well with others across teams and services.
• To be able to complete a basic DBS, which will be provided by Bromford.
