Responsibilities
As the Treasury Analyst you will be a key player in the head office Treasury function. Using you understanding and experience in the Group Treasury function you will be part of a global and extensively multinational listed company.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Treasurer, and will provide analytical support and take responsibility for the accurate and timely reporting of all treasury accounting entries. You will monitor daily and report weekly on the Group’s global net debt position, and where controls permit, assist the Group Treasurer with respect to foreign exchange and Money Market transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate reporting of all treasury transactions
- Monitor UK/US/EUR cash pool positions suggesting appropriate borrowing/repayment measures as required for the efficient operation of the pooling structures
- Report on the group’s cash on a global basis, monitoring global cash cycles and producing weekly position summary for the Group Treasurer
- Maintain Group Treasury bank mandates and assist in managing of bank relationships
- Arrange settlements and confirmations for all treasury-related transactions, both intra group and third party
- Ownership of intercompany loan agreements, including monthly review and ongoing amendments, working with Group Tax to ensure relevant treaty approvals are in place
- Contribute to the ongoing upgrade of treasury controls and procedures to ensure best practice across treasury processes.
- Primary ‘ownership’ of the TMS
- Execute foreign exchange and money market transactions
- Keep up to date with technical developments in the treasury field
- Assist the Group Treasurer in repatriating cash from subsidiaries where cash is not centrally pooled
- Manage the Groups transaction hedging and hedge designation process to ensure compliance with IFRS9
Additional tasks:
- Verify the accuracy of 3rd party interest settlements
- Manage intercompany netting process (including settlement of intercompany interest)
- Month end reconciliation process
- Support external audit deliverables
- Ongoing management of online banking users
Qualifications
- PQ/newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with a strong understanding of controls
- AMCT qualification desirable
- 3 years+ experience within a Finance or Corporate Treasury environment.
- Strong spreadsheet skills and use of finance software
