The Water Well Project is a well-established not-for-profit organisation, currently based in Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania. Our mission is to promote good health and wellbeing to communities from migrant, refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds to improve their health literacy. Our vision is that all communities from migrant, refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds achieve equitable access to healthcare.
The Water Well Project seeks to fill a Treasurer vacancy on the board of directors. We particularly welcome applicants with sound professional skills and demonstrated knowledge and experience in accounting/finance, and/or in fundraising or philanthropy. This volunteer position is instrumental in setting the strategic direction of the organisation.
The Treasurer will support the organisation’s vision and mission, ensure effective governance, oversee financial compliance, and engage with stakeholders as needed. This includes managing the organisation's governance framework, monitoring its financial affairs to ensure compliance with all financial accountabilities, and meeting with current and potential stakeholders to foster strong relationships and support.

3 years, subject to satisfactory performance and ratification at the next AGM. Approximately 8-10 hours per month. Attend all Board meetings (about 9 per year), the AGM, and Finance Committee Meetings.
