Travel Specialist (Trade Sales)

Trade Sales Specialist - Leading Travel Company, one of the UK's largest independent Tour Operators selling via Travel Agents, is expanding its team of Travel Consultants. This Trade Sales Travel Company is seeking a Travel Specialist to join their growing team as a specialist Travel Consultant homeworker, selling to Travel Agents. You will be handling incoming sales calls from various travel trade partners, putting together tailor-made holidays to long haul destinations by understanding the customer's travel needs, budgets and interests to build their perfect tailor-made holiday. Job Responsibilities:

1. Tailor-making itineraries to long haul destinations to suit the clients individual needs.
2. Meeting and exceeding personal objectives, including sales, revenue and productivity targets.
3. Follow up sales enquiries promptly and liaise with customers and Travel partners.
4. Provide outstanding customer service.
5. Offer expertise, advice and knowledge to Travel Agent partners and customers about destinations, airlines and ground arrangements.
6. Provide packages that are 'tailor-made' to suit the individual needs of our clients.
7. Take advantage of opportunities and up-sell whenever possible.

Skills Required:

1. Experience selling tailor-made itineraries to long haul destinations.
2. Experience using a GDS, preferably Galileo.
3. Experience within a target driven sales environment.
4. Excellent geographical knowledge and previous travel experience to North America.
5. The ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
6. To have a professional manner.
7. To have a passion for travel.

The Package:

1. A competitive basic salary of £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience plus uncapped commission (OTE £60k pa).
2. Fully home working.

Hours:

1. Monday - Friday: 9am - 5:45pm.
2. Saturday: 9am - 5pm (2 Saturdays per month with a day off in lieu).
3. No bank holidays or Sundays.
