Are you an experienced Sales Consultant within the travel industry?
Are you looking for your next exciting challenge?
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Sales consultant working for a well-established Travel company based in London.
The focus of this role is to work alongside colleagues to ensure your personal and company new acquisition sales targets are achieved by creating new business contacts through exceptional call management. Liaise with your clients to successfully package their tour proposals, always ensuring that you are working within the published Customer Service Guarantee guidelines. Responsible for fully always representing the service ethic and working within the expected framework of values and behaviours.

The Job:
  1. Creation of new business using both cold call telesales and email techniques.
  2. Liaising with the client to ensure accurate tailored proposals are created.
  3. Accurately costing the proposals using our bespoke costing system.
  4. Ensuring accurate information re hotel, destination, visits is always imparted.
  5. Servicing the clients' requirements in the most efficient & effective way.
  6. Ensuring all internal guidelines are adhered to.
  7. Delivery of exceptional customer service and some sales administration for a fluid number of tours throughout the year.
  8. Tailor making proposals reflecting the requirements of the group.
  9. Generating accurate tour costing's.
  10. Liaising with support departments to request and confirm travel, accommodation / visit requirements.
  11. Ensuring all tours are costed within set budgets and client deposits are received in the agreed time frames.
  12. Introduce the concept of "life-long" relationships with both client and supplier.
  13. Sound product knowledge.
  14. Taking part in inspection visits where required.
  15. Input into maintaining and continually improving information packs about visits in the assigned areas.
  16. Researching and fully understanding the competitor landscape and how competitor activity can impact our product & pricing strategies.
  17. Researching subjects and destinations in assigned areas to ensure up to date knowledge bank.
  18. Understanding and awareness of Safety Management System and Health & Safety Rules.
  19. Understanding of associate memberships and benefit to client & company.
  20. Coaching of less experienced sales consultant colleagues to develop skills and confidence in customer service skills as / when appropriate.
  21. Contribution to identifying improvements to work organisation and procedures etc.
The Person:
  1. Proven telesales experience and successful target management ability.
  2. Proven experience and full understanding of delivering exceptional customer service.
  3. Ability to resolve problems, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  4. Ability to work as under own initiative, and essentially as part of a wider team.
  5. Analytical skills.
  6. IT literate and knowledge of Microsoft products.
  7. Ability to follow procedures and willingness to enhance them.
  8. Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload and be highly organised.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and accurate written and spoken English.
  10. Commercial & financial awareness and be numerate.
  11. Adaptable and flexible.
  12. Advanced IT knowledge.
  13. Advanced knowledge of the School Travel Market.
  14. Knowledge of a foreign language French/German/Other.
  15. Driving licence.
  16. School Travel Market Product knowledge.
  17. Desire to hit targets and work within a targeted environment.
  18. Self-motivated, positive, and professional.
  19. Real passion for exceptional service delivery.
  20. Ability to work independently inside a team environment.
  21. Desire to support the development of the business and others.
  22. Flexible, adaptable, and positive approach to work.
  23. Free to travel.
The Package:

Monday - Friday full-time position
