Overview

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Travel Consultant to join our new travel agency based in Fulwood, Sheffield. The candidate must have previous experience working in a travel agency along with a passion for travel, excellent sales and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and first-class product knowledge.

For over a decade Silver Travel Advisor has been dedicated to supporting travellers with reviews, information, and advice to inspire travel. Now as part of our ambitious expansion plans and following on from the success of our homeworking division, we have launched our first travel agency branch situated in an affluent suburb on the outskirts of Sheffield.

Job purpose

Working within the small dynamic team at Silver Travel Advisor, this role will report into the Branch Manager. Sales driven, and motivated to reach targets, you’ll be assisting customers by building their holiday from scratch recommending destinations, hotels, cruises and tours to meet their requirements. You will manage their booking in full ensuring the customer receives all necessary updates and documentation, and if needed dealing with any issues. Experience of booking systems and processes is needed.

Your extensive knowledge of destinations and hotel options will ensure that clients receive exceptional service and memorable experiences.

Duties

  • Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, budgets, and requirements.
  • Research and recommend suitable travel packages, accommodations, and activities based on client needs.
  • Book flights, hotels, and other travel arrangements while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide clients with information on travel regulations, visa requirements, and health advisories.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, popular destinations, and hospitality offerings.
  • Handle client inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise before or during their travels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a travel agency is necessary.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using booking systems and travel software.
  • A passion for travel with a broad understanding of various destinations worldwide.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and client needs.

Pay: From £23,000.00 per year
