Join our dynamic team at our client's FE college as a Lecturer in Travel and Tourism. This role offers the opportunity to shape the futures of young individuals by imparting knowledge and skills related to the airline/aviation and hospitality industries. Our courses are designed to prepare learners for successful careers in these sectors or for further education.
Day-to-day of the role:
Teach a range of Travel and Tourism courses to students aged 16-19, from Level 1 to Level 5.
Engage and motivate young vocational learners, ensuring a positive and conducive learning environment.
Develop and deliver innovative lesson plans that meet the needs of all students.
Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and support students in achieving their learning goals.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and participate in professional development activities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the travel industry to ensure relevant and current teaching content.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area; a degree is highly desirable.
Experience working in the travel industry.
Some teaching or training experience, particularly with young adults.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage and inspire students.
Commitment to professional development, including undertaking a fully funded Level 5 teaching qualification at the College if not already obtained.
