DESCRIPTION

Amazon's EU Global Transportation Service (GTS) team is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-obsessed Program Manager to work within the EU Transportation Network Engineering team and help us design and optimize our transportation network. The role will involve understanding the physical and digital transportation processes, from our Fulfillment Centers to our final mile carriers who deliver our packages to our customers. As part of the EU Customer Fulfillment Network Design team, you will combine business process knowledge, data expertise, and analysis skills to identify and drive programs within our transportation network.

To be successful in the role, you need strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, the ability to influence across business functions, and manage stakeholders' expectations effectively. You will work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable working with multiple business and technical teams.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Development and execution of network design and optimization strategy to support cost reductions, increase delivery speed, and improve delivery experience for Amazon customers.
  2. Contribute to the strategy, prioritize technical and operational initiatives, evaluate and set stakeholders' expectations.
  3. Development of necessary tools to enable optimal design of the network.
  4. Work closely with commercial, operational, and technical stakeholders to drive the implementation of initiatives.
  5. Drive cross-functional teams to deliver programs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience in program or project management.
  2. Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL.
  3. Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment.
  4. Bachelor's degree.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience identifying and resolving complex issues.
  2. Experience in analyzing data to drive decisions.
  3. Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
  4. Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
