Transport Planner / Service Advisor - Waste & Recycling Customers

WASTE MANAGEMENT & RECYCLING SECTOR EXPERIENCED TRANSPORT PLANNER / TRAFFIC CONTROLLER REQUIRED to coordinate logistics and deal with customer enquiries. Scope for top performers to progress into a more senior role without the need for someone to leave or be promoted.

ROLE: Transport Planner / Service Advisor - Waste Management & Recycling Customers

SALARY: Circa GBP28-34K plus Bonus, Pension, 21 days + Bank Holidays

HOURS: 45 per week (inclusive of breaks); some flexibility with earliest start at 7am and latest finish at 5:30pm

LOCATION: West Manchester Area (office-based role)

IDEAL EXPERIENCE: You will have worked in Waste Management, Skip Hire, Aggregates Recycling, Scrap Metal Recycling, Commercial and Industrial Waste, Clinical Waste, Hazardous Waste, Biomass, Food Waste, Trade Waste, or Waste Brokerage.

PREVIOUS ROLES INCLUDE: Office Supervisor, Assistant Depot Manager, Logistics Coordinator, Service Delivery Supervisor, Service Delivery Manager, Depot Supervisor, Transport Supervisor, Logistics Supervisor, Transport Planner, Office Manager, Customer Service Advisor, Customer Service Manager, Traffic Controller, Transport Coordinator, or Traffic Dispatcher.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Arrange waste collections via 3rd party transport
2. Handle new customer enquiries and provide quotes
3. Set up new service provisions
4. Oversee vehicle compliance
5. Work via a CRM

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• At least 2 years experience in the waste management and recycling sector in a transport planning or customer service focused role
• Proficient with IT and CRM systems
• Strong communication skills on the phone
