Transport Planner (Highway Design)

£29,000 - £36,000 DOE + Salary Progression + Training + Development + Benefits

Are you looking to begin your career as a transport planner within a leading consultancy, working on highways systems across the UK?

Do you want the chance to join a company that prides themselves on rapid development, progression and opportunities for promotions to senior roles?

This transport consultancy, established for over 20 years, works on a number of small and large scale projects across the country with clients such as Taylor Wimpey, John Lewis, Mace and local councils. The company has recently opened a new office and is looking to expand their workforce as they take on more projects.

On offer is the opportunity to become a fundamental asset to this growing consultancy. You will be working as a member of the transport planning team and receive ongoing training and mentoring to develop your skillset and kickstart your transport planning career. You will have the chance to prepare transport assessments and statements, liaise with key clients, contractors and authorities, and undertake site visits.

The role:

  1. Preparing transport assessments, statements and travel plans
  2. Undertaking junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
  3. Liaising with clients and local/national authorities
  4. Attend site visits and support team leaders in delivering comprehensive advice to clients on highways and transport matters

The person:
  1. Degree in relevant subject such as Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering
