Position: Transport Planner - General Haulage

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Hours: Mon - Fri 9:00am - 17:30pm

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

Transport Planner Overview:

Transport Planner required to join a leading UK Transport and Road freight specialist based in Stoke-on-Trent. The role involves planning national and local vehicle and trailer resources in a cost-effective and compliant manner to achieve profitability and service excellence. Experience with general haulage and routing of 30+ vehicles is required.

Transport Planner Responsibilities:

• Routing and management of 30+ vehicles.
• Plan and allocate all national and local vehicle and trailer resources for optimum utilization and profitability.
• Prepare and produce Vehicle and Load Manifests and customer paperwork for the Warehouse and assigned drivers.
• Act as the main point of contact for national drivers and liaise with internal and external customers.
• Handle transport administration and update data within various operating systems.

Transport Planner Experience Required:

• Proven experience in transport planning and logistics for general haulage.
• Strong understanding of legal restrictions and compliance within the transport industry.
• Proficiency in using various operating systems for transport administration.
