Due to continued growth, they are looking for a dynamic and experienced Transport Planner to join their team.

Job Description

1. Planning and coordinating the daily operations of a fleet of HGV tankers and other vehicles, ensuring optimal route efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
2. Liaising with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
3. Monitoring live operations, resolving any logistical issues, and making real-time adjustments to schedules as required.
4. Ensuring compliance with all transport regulations, including driver hours, vehicle maintenance schedules, and safety protocols.
5. Utilising transport management systems (TMS) to track fleet performance and drive continuous improvements.
6. Supporting the Transport Manager in developing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.

The Successful Applicant

1. Previous transport planning experience
2. Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations, driver compliance, and route planning
3. Proficiency in transport management systems and Microsoft Office applications
4. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
5. Strong communication skills to coordinate with drivers, customers, and internal teams effectively
6. A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
