37.5 Hours per week Day Shifts

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join a leading fuel distributor who specializes in commercial petrochemical distribution.

Shifts: 37.5 hours per week, covering early (6am-3pm), mid (7am-4pm), and late (9am-6pm) shifts, including weekend rotation (6am-6pm, 4 weekends in every 13 weeks).

The Candidate:

• Previous experience within a transport operation in a planner position
• ADR / Tanker route planning experience is highly desirable
• Experience in a fast-paced transport position
• A good understanding of drivers' hours regulations
• Ability to work a rotational shift pattern (earlies, lates, and weekends)
• Experience using system-based planning tools
• Strong knowledge of tachograph regulations
• Strong administrative skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Competent decision-making skills
• Good geographical knowledge

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Efficiently plan and optimize fuel deliveries using a computerised system
• Ensure all customer requirements are met safely and cost-effectively
• React swiftly to operational challenges and prioritize tasks effectively
• Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving environment
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Use geographical knowledge to maximize the fleet's ability to operate
• Ensure drivers are informed of any road problems and challenge drivers when needed to ensure timely deliveries
