Transport Planner - Southall Depot

Location: Southall

Salary: From £31,000 per year + Bonus Scheme

Hours: Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week

Are you a highly organised, detail-driven professional with a passion for logistics? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

We're looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join a busy depot in Southall. You'll be at the heart of the transport operations, ensuring all deliveries and collections run smoothly and efficiently.

Your Role Will Include:
  1. Optimising route planning - ensuring all deliveries and collections are scheduled efficiently and cost-effectively
  2. Ensuring compliance - making sure drivers follow all transport legislation and FORS requirements (e.g., walkaround checks, load security)
  3. Managing site bookings - providing drivers with the necessary booking details for designated locations
  4. Tracking KPIs - ensuring the transport function hits service targets
  5. Supporting drivers & customer service - handling queries and offering assistance over the phone
  6. Generating reports - assisting with transport function reports and performance analysis
  7. Managing fleet compliance - scheduling vehicle maintenance and ensuring services are completed on time
What We're Looking For:
  1. Strong IT skills - proficient in Microsoft Office & Outlook
  2. Transport & distribution experience (advantageous but not essential)
  3. Exceptional attention to detail - highly organised with excellent communication skills
  4. Good knowledge of London & South West region
  5. Full driving licence
  6. Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
  7. Proactive, upbeat, and customer-focused - you enjoy problem-solving and keeping things running smoothly
