Salary: £42,000 + Benefits

Role Profile

Cast UK have partnered with a rapidly expanding distributor in the Chessington area to recruit a passionate and experienced Transport Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic business at a key stage of its growth journey, with real scope to make an impact and shape the future of their transport operations.

You'll be leading a busy transport function, ensuring efficient delivery schedules, full compliance with transport legislation, and the highest levels of service for a growing customer base. Working closely with the wider operations team, you'll play a pivotal role in scaling up transport operations in line with business demand.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and develop the transport team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  2. Manage driver compliance, routing, scheduling and cost control
  3. Oversee vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules and legal requirements
  4. Drive performance through KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives
  5. Ensure full compliance with transport legislation and health & safety protocols
  6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure operational excellence
What We're Looking For:
  1. Proven experience in a transport management role (ideally within a distribution or logistics environment)
  2. CPC qualification desirable but not essential
  3. Strong knowledge of transport legislation and compliance
  4. Excellent leadership and people management skills
  5. A hands-on, proactive approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
