Fixed 6 Month Contract

Salary: £55,000.00 per annum

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Transport Manager on the outskirts of Plymouth on a 6-month fixed contract.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transport operations, optimising delivery routes, and leading a team of drivers to ensure exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing and optimising all transport operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products.
2. Develop and implement transport strategies to optimise routes and reduce costs.
3. Lead and motivate a large team of drivers ensuring high levels of performance and safety.
4. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics and improve service delivery.
5. Manage relationships with third-party transport providers and negotiate contracts.
6. Ensure compliance and maintenance of all transport vehicles and equipment.
7. Resolve any transport-related issues or challenges that arise.
8. Conduct regular training and development sessions for staff to enhance skills and knowledge.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Strong leadership and time management skills.
2. Strong relationship-building skills.
3. Preferable knowledge and understanding of transport legislation.
4. Holds a CPC qualification.
5. Engaging, enthusiastic, and proactive.
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
