Transport Manager

We Staff are recruiting for an experienced Transport Manager for one of our most prestigious clients based in Enfield, North London.

Our client is looking for an experienced transport manager with a can-do attitude.

Duties/Requirements:

• Monday to Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm
• Salary from £45k - £48k
• Good people management skills
• Experienced CPC Manager
• Good time management and planning skills
• Ensuring Tachos are downloaded on a regular basis, in accordance with DVSA regulations
• Proven experience in a transport or logistics management role is essential of at least 3 years
• Manage daily transport operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods while optimizing costs of a Pallet Network delivery service
• Comply with DVSA and H&S compliance at all times for 24 vehicles
• Manage staff and driver performance, knowledge of ACAS process
• All administration of keeping files for the sole purpose of transport compliance
• Entering all relevant data onto the fleet maintenance system (R2C Software)
• Supporting drivers with the tachograph entries and providing training and guidance with any infringement
• Ensuring drivers are adhering to the rules and regulations of the UK Highways
• Full responsibility for the maintenance, repairs, and care of all vehicles and yard MHE
• Responsible for the supply chain that leads into the Transport Department
