Transport Manager

Are you a Transport Manager looking for a new challenge?

Our client, a food wholesaler and distributor based in London, has a great opportunity for a National Transport Manager to be responsible for the entire distribution operation and delivery of goods for this organization.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Route Planning and Delivery
2. Ensures all deliveries have been completed
3. Manage and update the Operators Licenses
4. Daily vehicle checks
5. Manage drivers
6. Manage budget for vehicle repairs and maintenance
7. Track fuel expenditure
8. Goods return
9. Communication between the warehouse teams, distribution teams, and wider business
10. Implement and maintain health and safety procedures
11. Provide training where required (hygiene, BRC standards products, customers…)

Key Requirements:

1. Minimum 5 years management experience within the transport, distribution, and logistics industry
2. Experience using route planning software
3. Excellent knowledge and understanding of transport legislation
4. IT Literate
5. Hold a full UK driving license

In return for meeting the above criteria, the successful candidate will be rewarded with a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience and includes further benefits including a bonus.
