Transmission Engineer - 40013 - Whitley (Hybrid) - £26.02/hr - Inside IR35

The focus of this role is the design and development of Electric Drive Unit (EDU) transmission systems. You will develop solutions for products in delivery/launch and/or advanced development phases using both experimental and analytical approaches.

What You Will Do:

  1. Lead the design and development of Electric Drive Unit (EDU) transmission systems.
  2. Develop solutions for products in delivery/launch and advanced development phases using both experimental and analytical approaches.
  3. Coordinate activities with a wide range of stakeholders including CAD designers, CAE analysts, suppliers, prototype workshops, and test facilities.
  4. Execute plans with precision, demonstrating tenacity, drive, and perseverance.
  5. Solve business, technical, and process issues within a Project Team environment.
  6. Work independently, showcasing your ability to tackle problems and drive projects to completion.

What You Will Bring:

  1. A strong technical understanding of mechanical component design, including strength and fatigue.
  2. Proven problem-solving skills within a business, technical, and project team environment.
  3. The ability to work autonomously, demonstrating drive and determination.
  4. Degree qualified or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  5. Preferred: Experience with electric drive unit transmission components and virtual analysis tools such as Romax 3DX CATIA.
