The Deals & Financing team is a rapidly growing and global group at the forefront of large international infrastructure projects, global M&A transactions, high-profile forensic investigations, business valuations, corporate restructuring and national creditor advisory services, adding value by finding solutions to a wide range of financial issues.

The Due Diligence (Transaction Services) team, part of the wider Deals & Financing team, works on UK and cross-border transactions supporting corporate investors, private equity teams, and finance providers, allowing for development of deal and sector knowledge.

Job Purpose

The role provides an opportunity to join the Due Diligence (Transaction Services) team in Manchester as a Manager or Associate Director, leading the financial due diligence process and delivering high-quality reports to corporate, private equity, and banking clients.

The role offers career development opportunities and involves direct work with the Leadership team, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and innovation. The position allows for leading due diligence assignments, expanding client portfolios, and maintaining flexibility to personal circumstances.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop client portfolio and relationships, working directly with partners locally and nationally.
  • Participate in national resourcing and project delivery meetings with peers and senior leadership.
  • Coordinate and lead proposals, managing overall proposition, scope, and fee.
  • Manage due diligence assignments, overseeing contributions from specialist teams.
  • Coach and train teams to deliver insightful analysis and prepare due diligence reports.
  • Engage with clients, communicating issues promptly and delivering clear presentations.
  • Monitor time against budget and recover unbudgeted time.
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients and intermediaries.
  • Support business development initiatives locally and nationally.
  • Produce high-quality work in line with the Firm's policies and processes.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Qualifications: ACA (or equivalent).
  • Experience in financial due diligence across various transaction types.
  • Track record in developing and managing an external network of relationships.
  • Experience in supporting competitive proposals and pitches.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to develop self and others.
  • Experience in identifying issues through sound analysis and commercial acumen.
