What is the opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a high performing team and further your career in Financial Crime Risk Management.
The role sits within the UK 2LOD Financial Crime team where you'll be working closely with the Group Financial Crime Compliance Transaction Monitoring team. You'll also collaborate with the 1LOD Financial Crime Risk, UK Change and bank technology teams and external vendors to ensure AML/CFT transaction monitoring coverage is adequate and controls are effective.

What will make you stand out?
Proven experience in a senior-level transaction monitoring role, with particular knowledge and expertise of AML/CFT transaction monitoring system oversight, threat assessment, product typologies, rule tuning, data accuracy oversight controls.
Proficiency in FCRM, Actimize, Fircosoft, or similar monitoring software.
Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment and key AML and anti-terrorism legislation.
Ability to provide intellectual rigor to risk assessment, development of business solutions and decision making.
Strong business knowledge of risk frameworks, processes, products and systems and extensive exposure to, and appreciation of key financial crime issues faced by the financial services industry.
Financial and analytical acumen with the ability to handle a very broad and diverse agenda.

The UK Financial Crime team is part of the UK Risk function in BOI UK. They are responsible for crafting and maintaining a Financial Crime Risk management framework, policies, standards, and processes. These measures align with Bank of Ireland Group to effectively identify, measure, mitigate, report, and manage Financial Crime risks in the UK business units. The team operates as a 'second line of defence' within the three lines of defence model, setting common standards, tools and methodologies for management of Financial crime risks across the UK and providing quality advice and guidance to the business.
