We are currently offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as our new Training Specialist for our Power Tools Division. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based at our Head Office in Clayton and will involve occasional domestic and international travel.

Position responsibilities will include:

  • Increasing the technical knowledge and expertise of the Bosch Power Tools (PT) Sales Force, marketing and management teams ensuring a high level of understanding of Bosch Power Tools and Accessories and the equivalent products from competitor power tool manufacturers.
  • Setting the standard for the Bosch PT Sales Team in their role of providing regular training for their customers (including retailers and users) by developing skills and providing materials, support, and advice.
  • Increasing the technical knowledge and expertise of the Bosch PT resellers and ensuring their knowledge and belief in the range and quality of Bosch Power Tools and Accessories is at a level to recommend, demonstrate, and sell the products to their customers.
  • Transferring knowledge on new tools, accessories, procedures, and practices by attending overseas Bosch training and updating management & marketing teams on this new information upon return.
  • Developing and maintaining a training calendar to maximize training output to key customers, in conjunction with Regional and Onsite Sales Managers.
  • Developing training material as required on new products and updating existing products as necessary.
  • Helping develop engaging content that can be shared on social media platforms as well as potentially working with key influencers.

Qualifications

We are looking for a conscientious professional with the ability to work across multiple business units within the division, manage diverse topics and priorities, and establish effective relationships across all levels of the organization.

To be considered for this position you are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 and/or a qualification of Adult Education at Bachelor level or higher is highly desirable.
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of the vocational education and training sector.
  • Significant experience and passion within the power tools, trades, or similar industries is essential.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders including internal staff, retailers, salespeople, and tradespeople.
  • Demonstrated experience in the planning, development, implementation, operation, and review of training programs to achieve quality outcomes for all stakeholders.
  • Experience with a range of training delivery methods including blended delivery, classroom-based delivery, work-based delivery, online delivery, video tutorials, and live-streams.
  • Ability to build rapport, problem-solving skills, a natural ability to sell, negotiation skills, manage multiple tasks, and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Great time management and organizational skills.
