Training Manager

This is a permanent position and offers the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic organisation in a progressive warehousing and distribution environment.
We are recruiting for an experienced Training Manager ideally with warehousing or industrial environment experience and are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated professional to join our team in our brand-new purpose-built distribution centre.
The successful candidate will be required to design, develop and deliver systems and process training to our employees. As Training Manager, you will enable improvement through the development of enhanced workforce training and induction programmes.
Hours of Work:
Position: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 40 per week Monday to Friday. Working hours may vary but are pre-planned in advance between 6am and 6pm.
About the Role:
- Working as part of a large workforce reporting to the Human Resources Manager.
- Leadership of own team of 8 trainers.
- Focused primarily on manual handling equipment, warehouse processes, and inductions.
- Scheduling and controlling compulsory refresher training, cross-function upskilling, new recruit inductions, and warehouse process training programmes.
- Responsible for ensuring that training is delivered for various types of material handling equipment (MHE) to our on-site operations team.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Forklift trainer qualified an advantage but not essential.
- Manual handling equipment experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as you will be writing and refining policies and procedures.
Person Specification:
- Team player and great communicator with a strong work ethic and an engagement enthusiast.
- This is a new site requiring policies, procedures, SSOW, and routines to be understood and documented.
