Job Title: Content Creator (eLearning Specialist)
Contract Type: 8 month fixed term contract
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Overview:


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Content Creator to lead the development of eLearning modules. The role will focus on designing, developing, and updating a variety of contract-specific eLearning modules using Moodle. Working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and supported by a Training Systems Administrator, the Content Creator will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging training content within defined timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality, interactive eLearning modules using Moodle.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment goals and standards.

  • Refresh and rebrand existing modules as required, ensuring they meet contract requirements.

  • Ensure all content is compliant with accessibility standards and caters to a diverse audience.

  • Maintain regular communication with the HR Training and Development Manager to provide progress updates and address challenges.

  • Collaborate closely with the Training Systems Administrator to ensure smooth implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of eLearning content.

  • Ensure all modules are designed to be user-friendly and effectively engage the target audience.

  • Apply instructional design best practices to enhance the learning experience, incorporating multimedia elements where necessary (e.g., videos, quizzes, simulations).

  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy, functionality, and consistency across all modules.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in developing eLearning content, specifically within Moodle or other Learning Management Systems (LMS).

  • Strong instructional design skills, including knowledge of adult learning principles and eLearning best practices.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with SMEs and other stakeholders.

  • Strong technical skills with experience in multimedia content development (audio, video, graphics).

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality content that meets both learner needs and organisational objectives.

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and an understanding of how to apply these to eLearning content.

  • Proficiency in authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working on government or large-scale contracts, particularly within a highly regulated environment..

  • Experience in managing eLearning projects from concept to delivery, including versioning and updates.
