About the Traineeship with Matalan

Traineeships give young people the skills and experience to progress onto an apprenticeship or sustainable employment.

Suitable for anyone aged between 16-18, Traineeships are predominantly work experience focused with an opportunity for you to undertake Maths and English qualifications up to GCSE level where needed.

For those looking to gain valuable work experience alongside more structured training and tutor support, our Traineeships are perfect.

We offer a 9-week work placement at a Matalan store, with tutor visits each week and the opportunity to join Matalan on a permanent basis once it's complete.
