Job description

Salary Dependent On Skills And Experience

Full-time, Days (8.30 am to 5.00 pm) 1 hour for lunch. Start and finish times may be flexed to fit around business demand.


Location: Malmo Road, Hull and territory HU7: driving licence essential.


Travel Required: This role is site and field-based.


Key Purpose

To provide a back-up service to the field engineers in preparing machines for installation and the repair/refurbishment of machines for re-sale. Additionally, to deliver machines, parts, and consumables as needed. This is an entry-level position in the service engineer team.


KPIs

To follow standard operating procedures and company policy to ensure cost-effective delivery, setup, repair, and refurbishment of machines, parts, and consumables.


Role and Responsibilities
  • Undertake the setup, refurbishment, and repair of new, second-hand, and customer machines in the workshop.
  • Efficiently manage time and resources to reduce costs to the company.
  • Report to the Service Supervisor regarding any technical or equipment issues that cannot be resolved immediately.
  • Support service engineers where necessary.
  • Undertake delivery of machines, consumables, and parts to maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Assist with site installations when and where necessary.
  • Complete all manufacturer training on any equipment required to perform the role within set timeframes.
  • Ensure any assigned vehicles are always roadworthy and clean.
  • Responsible for keeping the workshop, warehouse, and showroom areas tidy.
  • Undertake all additional tasks assigned by management/senior management.
  • Always follow health and safety requirements.
