Job description

Who We Are:
TT Electronics Fairford Ltd is part of the TT Electronics Group and is a provider of wiring solutions, electrical harnessing systems and back-shells to the Defence and Aerospace Markets. We were established in 1978 in Fairford,
Gloucestershire and today our team is 85 members strong. We are a growing company with a strong orderbook
and lots of opportunities for personal growth.

About The Role:
As a Production Trainee, you will work under the guidance of your Team Leader and assist in the production of our
products and electronic assemblies. You don’t need any previous experience, just a great attitude and a willingness to learn. This role is just the start, you will have opportunities to progress in the team!

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the assembly of cables, harnesses and other TT Electronics products under the supervision of your Team Leader.
  2. Check product drawings and parts list to make sure they match.
  3. Accurately record details of the assembly you are working on in our internal computer system and on paper documents.
  4. Keep your workspace and floor area clean and tidy and take care of assembly parts.
  5. Work flexibly, supporting other team members when asked.
  6. Develop your skills by completing online and classroom-based training and work towards the internationally recognised certification, IPC620.
  7. Complete our on-line safety training, take care of your own health and safety on site and contribute towards a safe working environment for your team members.

Someone who:

  1. Arrives on time ready for the start of your shift.
  2. Works well as part of a team and on your own.
  3. Will ask questions when you don’t understand and speak up if there is a problem or you need help.
  4. Wants to learn, and is keen to develop your career with us.
  5. Has good manual dexterity and can handle small parts with care.
  6. Ability to obtain Baseline Personnel Security Standard clearance.
  7. Subject to Alcohol and Drug pre-employment screening.
