Reporting into the Contract Manager, the Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer will join a talented team of Traffic Signals specialists in the Kent region. Due to growth and demand from our customer(s), we are in a position to grow our Traffic team in this region.
What you’ll do:
As a Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with one of our experienced Traffic Engineers to troubleshoot, fix, maintain, and test a range of Traffic Signals / Traffic Lights and electrical equipment associated with this, in and around the Kent region.
Training isn’t in a classroom, it is a healthy mix of ‘on the job’ learning, providing you with an opportunity to work towards an NVQ in Electrical Installations and sector-based certifications such as ECS and the National Highways Sector Scheme (NHSS) Chapter 8.
Who you are:
You will naturally have an interest in troubleshooting, fixing, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment, and already have some exposure to anything electrical – whether that’s working with outdoor lighting, CCTV, controllers, detection boxes, telecommunications/radio equipment, etc., or you’ve had some experience via a college-related course/diploma.
