We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a school(s) supporting pupils with SEND needs.

The Role

We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to help support pupils within a SEND environment. Working as part of an established team, the desired SEND Teaching Assistant will be supporting children 1-1 or in small groups. This role will be Monday to Friday 8:30.

The School

We have an excellent Federation in Aylesbury that provides an ambitious and supportive curriculum for young people across key stage 1-5, with complex needs, PMLD, and SLD as a primary need. The secondary needs can be linked to autism spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and/or speech language and communication needs (SLCN), severe trauma, and attachment disorder. The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum through first-class facilities and resources aimed at ensuring all students have the opportunity to achieve their full potential and progress against the outcomes in their Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).

Requirements

  1. Experience working with SEND children OR working in a care/support work background.
  2. Have a caring and positive nature.
  3. Be able to build positive relationships with children and young people.
  4. Understand the crucial importance of keeping young people and children safe.
  5. Be willing to pay for a DBS check and register with the Update Service.

Salary

£12.86-£13 per hour. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
