We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a school(s) supporting pupils with SEND needs.

The Role

We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to help support pupils within a SEND environment. Working as part of an established team, the desired SEND Teaching Assistant will be supporting children 1-1 or in small groups. This role will be Monday to Friday 8:30.

The School

We have an excellent Federation in Aylesbury that provides an ambitious and supportive curriculum for young people across key stage 1-5, with Complex needs, PMLD and SLD as a primary need. The secondary needs can be linked to autism spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and/or speech language and communication needs (SLCN), severe trauma, and attachment disorder. The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum through first-class facilities and resources aimed at ensuring all students have the opportunity to achieve their full potential and progress against the outcomes in their Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).

Requirements

  • Experience working with SEND children OR working in a care/support work background.
  • Have a caring and positive nature.
  • Be able to build positive relationships with children and young people.
  • Understand the crucial importance of keeping young people and children safe.
  • Be willing to pay for a DBS check and register with the Update Service.

Salary

GBP12.86-GBP13 per hour. Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
