Job description

Crystal Tax is a boutique tax practice offering amongst other services CIS, PAYE & VAT rebates to self-employed contractors & employees (clients) of on average £2500 per year, which can also be backdated up to 4 years, generating initial claims of £10,000. Crystal Tax also offers an excellent Limited Company Administration service, saving clients on average £10,000 per year.

Business is booming! Accordingly, a Trainee Tax Assistant is now required to assist the office leaders with:

  1. Setting prospective clients up on company software
  2. Liaising with clients & introducers to obtain data
  3. Importing client data into software
  4. Using such data to prepopulate client registration documents
  5. Data analysis & processing using such software as Excel
  6. Creating financial statements, forecasts & reports
  7. Applying to HMRC to authorise as tax agent – SA, VAT, PAYE
  8. Limited company Incorporations & VAT & PAYE applications
  9. Collating income & expenses data from clients
  10. Entering such data onto company tax systems
  11. Creating & sending tax returns for clients’ approval
  12. Upon receipt of such approval:
    1. Self-Assessment
    2. Corporation Tax
    3. VAT Return submissions to HMRC
  13. Processing PAYE & Director payrolls on a monthly/weekly basis
  14. Bookkeeping & other related ad-hoc business operation tasks.

Full training in the above will be given, & as you develop in the role, you will have involvement in corporate & personal taxation. An excellent telephone manner is a must, as is excellent written & spoken English. You should be presentable, numerate, organised, & be familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Applicants should also be industrious, flexible, ambitious, approachable, reliable, punctual & polite.

In addition to a basic of £25K, you will be paid results-based bonuses, being engaged in the whole process to ensure your efforts are being rewarded. Romanian, Polish & Lithuanian speakers are welcome to apply. Successful candidates should achieve OTEs of £30K+ in their first year.
