Purpose of the Job:Working within our Technical & Operations division, the Trainee Survey Technician role will be to support the Survey team in achieving the overall team's day to day objectives.
Principal Accountabilities:- Preparing and testing of equipment prior to rental and post hire.
- Function testing, software / firmware updates, cable integrity.
- Ensuring completeness of equipment against packing lists.
- Checking, inspecting, and documenting equipment returned from hire.
- Visual inspection, function testing and writing technical reports.
- Identification of in-house or external repair tasks.
- Preparing all assets to ensure they are ready for delivery to clients at short notice.
- General warehouse and delivery duties.
- Checking, inspecting and documenting equipment on mobilisation.
- Setup, interface, function test on mobilisation.
- Troubleshoot to successful conclusion.
- Assist offshore survey team as required.
- Demobilise, check, inspect and document equipment prior to dispatch back to base.
- Attend Offshore training and undergo an Offshore medical.

Desired Qualifications and Educational Requirements:Qualified to A-Level/Higher Level in maths, science, and technology.
Job Knowledge and Experience:Qualified to degree level in relevant Engineering or have 1 year plus equivalent experience.

- Ability to work as a team taking directions.
- Ability to work independently and confidently when representing the company at client premises.
