A paramount leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an ambitious Trainee Social Value Coordinator to join their business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable contractor with a fantastic pipeline of future works. The Trainee Social Value Coordinator will play a key part in the development and future of the business, reporting directly to the Social Value Manager.

About the role of Trainee Social Value Coordinator

This Tier 1 contractor specializes in high spec projects across the education, health care, and industrial sectors, valuing between £50M - £150M for private and framework clients. The Trainee Social Value Coordinator will oversee up to six sites across their Midlands region.

Responsibilities for Trainee Social Value Coordinator

  • Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders, clients, communities, and charities to promote the work and beliefs of the business.
  • Engage with local educational facilities, encouraging work experience, CV writing, and mock interviews to inspire early careers within construction.
  • Host initiatives and events encouraging the wider business to integrate and develop the social value strategies of the business.

Requirements for Trainee Social Value Coordinator

  • Previous experience within the construction industry would be beneficial; however, it is not fundamental.
  • Experience working within or alongside the public sector would be advantageous.
  • A relevant degree in either construction, sociology, environmental studies, or sustainability is essential.
  • Strong understanding of social challenges and social impact.
  • Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
