Trainee Quantity Surveyor

About This Role

Due to continuous growth we are looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our busy commercial department.

We are looking for a trainee to work in our Quantity Surveying department who is looking to embark on a career in the commercial work.

The role is working with the wider QS and Commercial Team and is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who is looking to study and gain experience whilst in the workplace.

• Location: Sheffield
• Hours of Work: Monday to Friday (40 Hours a week)

Responsibilities will include:

• Completing and updating commercial paperwork
• Cash Allocation and cash forecasting
• Preparation and submission of applications
• Assisting the commercial and quantity surveyor managers
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams

Knowledge, Experience, And Qualifications Required:

• Strong computer skills (particularly on Microsoft programmes such as Excel)
• Confident in communication with staff at all levels
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
• Strong administrative background

Further studies will be available to be discussed upon appointment - We will look at you signing on with a local apprenticeship provider to gain a qualification - Level 3 +
