Clymac's Trainee Maintenance Engineers

You will be trained to service a wide variety of fire and security systems, all located within a compact geographical area. You will be provided with a company van and all the tools that you need to carry out your work.

This is an entry-level role in the fire and security industry, but continuous development opportunities will be available for candidates who decide they want to become a fully qualified fire & security engineer.

You will commence your journey with a 6-week training program that will cover the fundamentals of being able to deliver PPM on a wide range of fire systems. The following 18 months will see you develop a greater understanding of more specific areas, which will cover:

  1. Fault finding
  2. BS5839 fundamentals
  3. H&S
  4. Customer service
  5. Beam detection
  6. Air sampling
  7. Radio detection
  8. Portable extinguisher training
  9. Fire Extinguishers Plus several manufacturer-specific courses.
