Job description

Our client is seeking a Trainee IT Support Technician to join their team in Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for a school leaver or someone looking for a career change, with no prior experience required. The role involves providing IT support to clients while developing technical skills through a comprehensive training programme, including access to professional qualifications.

Job Duties:

  1. Answer telephone calls and respond to helpdesk emails/tickets in a timely manner.
  2. Assist clients with day-to-day IT issues and troubleshooting.
  3. Follow, update, and create company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  4. Manage client expectations to ensure service delivery commitments are met.
  5. Identify and report recurring IT issues to improve system performance.
  6. Accurately record information within the correct business tools.
  7. Provide professional, helpful, and confident communication across all platforms.
  8. Support the team in meeting internal and client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  9. Contribute to improving customer service and client satisfaction.
  10. Adapt to the fast-paced nature of the IT industry.
  11. Undertake additional duties as required by the line manager.
