Trainee Finance Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for my global client based in Cheltenham! This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start and build their career within financial services, and have a passion for numbers, data, and finance. This is the perfect role for you! What the role involves:
  1. Prepare standard documents accurately, including statements, payment requests, and other reports.
  2. Input, amend, and update data using systems like Global XB, Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  3. Maintain and file electronic and paper records, respond to inquiries, and handle finance-related queries.
  4. Review and update key departmental reports, ensuring all actions are taken to meet deadlines.
  5. Reconcile unallocated cash and ensure payments and balances are accurately managed.
  6. Allocate payments and settlements to the correct ledger transactions, following the department's procedures.
  7. Create statements, identify premiums, and make payments or claims, ensuring compliance with procedures.
What you will bring:
  1. Good attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures.
  2. Eagerness to learn and develop.
  3. A passion for numbers and a strong eye for detail!
  4. Basic experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  5. An interest in working in finance or insurance is a plus, but not required.
  6. Commitment to completing professional qualifications in insurance (Cert CII).
