Job description

Trainee English Teacher (TEFL) Full/Part time at St Brelade's College

Our new TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) training programme enables trainees without any prior teaching experience to work toward an internationally recognised TEFL qualification while gaining work experience and an income at our summer school. The AccessTEFL programme has been designed by English UK and is now accepted by all British Council accredited language schools. It is open to anyone with a Level 3 qualification, such as GCE A-levels, advanced apprenticeship, or an international equivalent. For non-native speakers, evidence of a CEFR C1 level of English is required. Trainees must be able to commit to complete one week of full-time training (30 hours) in April, a further series of observations and teaching practice plus a 6 week part or full time contract at our junior summer school.
