Trainee Engineer (Mechanical/Field Service)

Essex Office with Regular UK Travel

37.5 Hours a Week

Starting Salary £24,487 + Van (Available for Personal Use) + Company Credit Card for Expenses + Overtime + Commission + Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Discretionary Bonus + Pension + Flexitime Policy

OTE 1st Year £32,000 - £34,000
OTE Once Fully Trained £40,000 - £45,000

To apply for the Trainee Engineer role, you need to have excellent mechanical aptitude, be keen to learn, and be happy travelling across the UK, Ireland, and internationally on occasions. You ideally need to have an apprenticeship, level 3 or equivalent in mechanical engineering or similar. You also need to be comfortable in a customer-facing role.

The role involves service, maintenance, overhaul, commissioning, and training of filtration equipment to customers across a range of industries. You will build and maintain strong customer relationships and write service reports/recommendations. You will also produce quotes, carry out risk assessments, and any other compliance work necessary.

The Trainee Engineer Role in Brief:

  1. Service and maintenance of filtration equipment
  2. Attend the UK office in Essex for meetings, briefings, collection of parts, etc.
  3. Maintain strong relationships with customers
  4. Provide training and support
  5. Produce quotes
  6. Regular travel to customers' sites as required

The Person Required:

  1. Mechanical aptitude
  2. Ideally mechanically qualified
  3. Excellent communication/organisation skills
  4. Confident with customers
  5. Comfortable with travel
