Part Time 28 Hours per Week

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust is a grassroots movement working for nature's recovery and to bring people closer to nature.

We are seeking a Trainee Assistant Education and Engagement Officer to join our Advocacy & Engagement team. This role involves assisting the Engagement Officer onsite to support and lead the education and engagement offer. Responsibilities include:

1. Teaching and leading environmental activities with various groups, including preschool, A level, youth groups, adult special interest groups, and the public.
2. Supporting education settings to develop their own spaces for nature through our Wilder Schools programme.
3. Gaining skills in leading groups, managing facilities, working with the public, creating and running events, first aid and water safety training, and supervising volunteers.
