Job description

Equifind are representing a Financial Services firm based in Bank, City of London, who are looking to hire a Graduate/Finance Analyst.

The firm boasts a leading position in the financial services sector globally. This is a great opportunity for a recent Graduate or an ACA Junior Finance Professional that would thrive in a broad position within a dynamic, fast-paced team.

The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and enthusiastic individual eager to grow within a highly respected financial services organisation, willing to commit to being 5-days in the office per week. The position can start immediately so the right candidate will either be immediately available to start and interview or on a very short notice period.

The Role:

The key responsibilities for the Graduate/Finance Analyst for the Financial Services firm based in Bank, City of London will be:

  1. Data reporting to insurers: Providing regulatory and accounting information to the insurers.
  2. Insurance pool accounting records: Ledger maintenance to ensure that proper, complete, and accurate accounting records for pools are maintained.
  3. KPI information: Preparation of information for the quarterly Key Performance Indicators produced for pool members under the supervision of the Pool Finance Accountant.
  4. Support for the Finance team: Undertaking ad-hoc tasks and projects, as required, including Excel systems development or enhancement. Tools used will be Excel, Power Query, SQL, and VBA. Developing skills to be able to support other finance department members.
  5. Treasury: Training in the treasury function to provide cover for the Treasury Operations Manager. This will complement the job-holder's accountancy training and provide an insight into the operations of other teams in the finance department.
Application Criteria:
  1. Ideally excellent academic background in a subject that represents numeracy, business or science.
  2. Ideally from a Russell Group/Red Brick University but not mandatory.
  3. Have an ambition or real desire to pursue the ACA qualification.
  4. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills - the candidate will be expected to become an advanced Excel user in the first few months of employment.
  5. An interest in coding as SQL is used to extract data from systems. Power BI and VBA to automate tasks.
  6. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-growing environment.
  7. Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Compensation:

The Graduate/Finance Analyst working for this Financial Services company based in Bank, City of London, will be paid a competitive market-based salary with full study support (ACA).
