About Our Client

My client is a medium sized FTSE listed logistics business, with a finance team of over 35 people.

Job Description

  1. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including ledgers and journals.
  2. Support the team with month-end and year-end accounting processes including the year-end audit.
  3. Assist with the reconciliation of bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
  4. Handle administrative duties related to accounting and finance systems.
  5. Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  6. Engage in ongoing learning and development through study support and professional qualification progress.

The Successful Applicant

  1. A keen interest in pursuing a career in accounting.
  2. Strong academic background, educated to degree level.
  3. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  4. Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  5. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  6. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  8. Prior experience in an office or finance environment is an advantage, but not required.
