Traffic Marshall

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced traffic marshall to join our team on a long-term contract at a major commercial site in the heart of Huddersfield. This is a crucial role for ensuring the safety and smooth operation of the site, and we are looking for a dedicated individual to contribute to the success of this exciting project.

Responsibilities:

1. Implement and maintain traffic management plans on site, ensuring adherence to all relevant safety regulations and procedures.
2. Direct and control vehicle movements, pedestrian flow, and site access.
3. Conduct thorough security checks on all vehicles and personnel entering the site.
4. Maintain a safe and organized work environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
5. Communicate effectively with site personnel, visitors, and contractors.
6. Complete daily reports and maintain accurate records.

Skills / Experience:

1. Previous experience as a traffic marshall on large-scale construction or commercial sites.
2. Valid traffic marshall qualification.
3. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a construction environment.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and handle difficult situations effectively.
7. Experience with security protocols and procedures is highly advantageous.
8. Ability to pass equivalent to an enhanced DBS.
