Job Description:

As the General Manager, you will have ownership over the sales strategy and manage all the staff in the Operations department. This position is a front-line role dealing daily with all SWTM departments, customers, and suppliers. You are ultimately responsible for the smooth running and delivery of the service department and its depot.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that interdepartmental communication is kept to an optimum.
  2. Oversee depots located in Cumbria & North East.
  3. Keep abreast of goings-on within the company and its subsidiary departments.
  4. Ensure that the workforce is happy, focused, driven, and productive.
  5. Ensure compliance with any laws and guidelines relevant to the industry.
  6. Work towards budgets and profit targets at all times.
  7. Be aware of cash flow and any accounting issues on a daily basis.

Person Specification:

  1. Working knowledge of Health and Safety and the Chapter 8 requirements.
  2. Account management and business development experience.
  3. Great communication skills and a clear understanding of markets and consumer behaviour.
  4. Experience and knowledge of the designated region and the key players within it.
  5. Excellent leadership skills to gain the best results from others within the department.
  6. Ideally, the candidate will have the following qualifications: NHSS 12D M7.
