Trade Support Analyst - Buyside Investment Firm

Position: Trade Support Analyst
Location: London
Employment Type: Full time

A prestigious buyside investment firm is seeking a Trade Support Analyst to join their high-performing operations team. This is a unique opportunity to work across the full trade lifecycle, gain exposure to a broad range of asset classes, and play a vital role in ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Trade Lifecycle Management:

  1. Oversee the full trade lifecycle, from trade capture and affirmation to settlement and reconciliation.
  2. Ensure accurate trade booking in the firm's systems, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.

Confirmations & Settlements:

  1. Manage trade confirmations across various asset classes, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  2. Oversee settlement processes, liaising with counterparties, custodians, and clearing houses to resolve issues.

Reconciliations & Reporting:

  1. Perform daily position and cash reconciliations, investigating and resolving breaks.
  2. Provide accurate trade and operational data to internal stakeholders, including portfolio managers and risk teams.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  1. Act as the point of contact between the front office, counterparties, and middle/back-office teams.
  2. Build strong relationships with brokers, custodians, and other external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.

Process Improvement:

  1. Identify inefficiencies in trade support processes and recommend automation or system enhancements.
  2. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls.

Key Skills & Experience:

Product Knowledge:

  1. Strong understanding of vanilla asset classes, including equities, fixed income, FX, and money markets.
  2. Familiarity with derivatives is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  1. Proficiency in trade support systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Aladdin, or other OMS).
  2. Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of VBA or SQL is advantageous.

Experience:

  1. 3 + Years in a trade support, middle office, or operations role, ideally within a buyside environment.
  2. Experience working within the full trade lifecycle, from execution to settlement.
