Trade Marketing Placement

To support the Trade Marketing Department at Beko plc, a Home Appliance business in the UK.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Trade Marketing Team in developing and implementing marketing initiatives and projects, e.g., delivering in-store communications, brochures, POS, digital assets, digital website content, and events such as trade shows, HQ events, and exhibitions.
  2. Own the creation, development, and implementation of all trade marketing brochures throughout the year. Liaise with internal departments (Product Management & Brand Marketing) and external design agencies. Attention to detail is required for product details, brochure layout, and overall consistency.
  3. Create digital retailer brand stores, alongside brand and digital marketing. Write copy and develop creative assets, whilst working to wireframe templates.
  4. Manage and maintain the Beko Marketing Portal, an asset management tool. Update the portal with the most relevant ATL and BTL campaign assets. Responsibility for site maintenance and updates for usability. Create digital content to be hosted on the site. Monthly reporting on users and downloads. Drive awareness of the portal through key initiatives, ECRM, and incentives.
  5. Work with the publishing agency, Head of Trade Marketing, and relevant departments to create and consistently publish engaging content for Beko’s LinkedIn page.
  6. Conduct content and competitor audits on a regular basis. Content audits: review retailer assets and provide missing rich content. Competitor audits: review key competitor activity in-store and online and create summary reports.
  7. Work closely with the Trade Marketing team on maintaining the department budget. Ensure all relevant purchase orders are raised, logged, tracked, and communicated to relevant parties appropriately. Manage expenses of Marketing Heads of Departments. Correlate receipts & complete expenses forms appropriately.
  8. Work closely with the sales team and external media agency to order and deliver product samples for video and photography. Maintain a complex Excel working document to monitor and track progress. Work alongside Product Management to order samples for the Beko showroom.
  9. Ensure the showroom is always fit to trade. Manage product tickets and the movement of products from customers & warehouse to the showroom.
  10. Order and maintain Beko retailer giveaways (pens, notepads, etc.). Work with our promotions agency on promotional merchandise, design, and delivery. Responsible for ordering merchandise via SAP and ensuring its timely and accurate delivery.
  11. Support any additional marketing activity that may be reasonably requested, such as assistance with Trade Shows and competition prize fulfillment.
  12. Proactively identify areas for improvement, e.g., processes which need to be updated, and propose more efficient and cost-effective solutions.

Requirements

Undergraduate studying a degree relating to Marketing

Experience

  • Minimum marketing experience, helpful to understand how a company, office, and marketing department functions.
  • Attention to detail; good analytical skills, ability to handle data and input product information.
  • First-class communication skills – able to speak to all types of people and communicate needs/influence others.
  • Work under pressure and happy to multi-task between process work and marketing projects.
  • High performer – able to understand a task and achieve deadlines.
  • Fast learner.

  • IT literate and able to use Microsoft Office.
