Job Description:
  • Trade Floor FO Application Support Engineer - Murex or ION
  • 6 month contract
  • Shifts fall between 07:00 - 22:30
  • On call 1/7 weeks.
  • Inside of IR35

My client, a large Bank, is looking for a Trade Floor Application Support Engineer to help them on their trade floor with 2nd & 3rd line hardware & software support. The ideal candidate will have extensive Trade Floor Support experience with Bloomberg and Reuters. There is an option to work out of hours.

Please note, this role is onsite 4 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on support engineer to assist business users via phone, email, SNOW tickets, and in person, completing all tickets within SLA while managing user expectations.
  • Help onboard new joiners and carry out ad-hoc desk moves as required.
  • Provide 1st to 3rd line support for all software and hardware-related issues.
  • Provide market data support.
  • Provide mobile device setup and support.
  • Carry out desk moves (intraday and out of hours).
  • Conduct ad-hoc testing out of hours.
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors to resolve issues.

Knowledge/Experience Required:

  • Experience supporting market data applications such as Bloomberg and Reuters in a trading floor environment.
  • 2-3 years of FO application support experience within Rates/Credit/FX desk.
  • Desirable knowledge of any of the FO trading systems like Murex and/or ION.
