Job description

Town Planning Director - Manchester

Penguin Recruitment is supporting a top multi-disciplinary consultancy in hiring an experienced Town Planning Director to expand their Planning and Environmental team in the North.

As a leader in planning and infrastructure delivery, the team works on major UK projects across water, rail, HS2, road schemes, energy, and housing developments. The role involves growing and leading a team of Planners across Manchester, Leeds, and Sheffield, and driving collaboration across Planning, Environment, and Infrastructure departments.

Key Requirements:
  1. RTPI-accredited degree/postgraduate qualification and Chartered membership of RTPI.
  2. Extensive experience in consultancy and team leadership.
  3. Strong knowledge of planning law, procedures, and commercial awareness.
  4. Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Excellent communication and networking skills.
