The Company

With an outstanding proven track record in delivering planning applications on projects that vary from individual dwellings to large multifunctional schemes, our client is looking for a Senior/Principal Consultant to share in their success by joining the team and helping to drive their ambitious initiatives.

The Role

You’ll be working as an integral member of the planning division, which will include all aspects of the planning process, from initial site appraisals through to the preparation and submission of planning applications and associated condition compliance/appeal work.

Specific duties will include:

• Taking a leading role and managing projects
• Mentoring junior members of the team
• Promotion of sites for residential and commercial developments through the local plan process
• Preparing and coordinating planning applications, including drafting supporting statements
• Preparation of fee proposals and management of project budgets
• Liaising with internal and external technical specialists, clients, and local planning authorities
• Assessing the potential of sites for a range of developments, identifying opportunities and constraints

You’ll be joining a small collaborative and friendly team that places great focus on flexibility, engagement, and a positive working environment that supports a healthy work-life balance.

The majority of projects will be based in the South-west, although they also operate on a national basis.

Minimum Requirements:

• RTPI Accredited Degree
• MRTPI Qualified
• Town Planning private sector experience
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously and collaboratively
• Full driving license and use of own vehicle
• Experience in the Environmental/Renewable energy sector
• Experience across both public and private sectors
