We are looking for a number of Tooling Logistic Co-ordinators for a 12 month contract based in Derby on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

Job Description - The Role

The role is to support dispatching tools onsite at Derby and shipping to overseas. As a Tooling Logistics Co-ordinator you will be responsible for:

  1. Logistics support; including receipt, dispatch and re-allocation of tooling to the Operational areas.
  2. Management of on-site tooling storage within our warehouse and localised storage areas. This includes the kitting of tooling to support assembly and disassembly activities locally and overseas, as well as supplying tools on an ad hoc basis.
  3. Coordination and completion of logistics related tasks to support the calibration and inspections of tools.
  4. General assistance to the Operations team to enable module and engine tasks to be completed efficiently including participation in loading/unloading and the movement of tools.
  5. Support the movement of tooling internally and externally as required, as well as be accountable for ensuring ERP compliance.
  6. Ensure all risks that have potential to impact delivery are identified, prioritised, and escalated, where appropriate, within the wider organisation.
  7. Supporting booking in, picking, storage, and inventory audits on site; as well as supporting functional improvement activities.

What We Require From The Candidate

  1. Knowledge of SAP, preferably warehousing & inventory management.
  2. Clean driving licence. A forklift licence would be advantageous.
  3. Manual handling essential due to the nature of the job.
  4. Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with experience of working in a demanding customer focused environment.
  5. Able to demonstrate a flexible and adaptable mind-set.
  6. Ability to communicate confidently with all levels of personnel.
